Important information for cats and dogs arriving on yacht in New Caledonia :

Arrivals of animals on yachts are forbidden at the exception of cats and dogs.

These cats and dogs have to comply with the same requirements that the ones imported by plane. No dispensation will be allowed, no matter how long the yacht will stay in New Caledonia. So we would like to remind you that any yachtman who wants to visit New Caledonia with his animals has to ask for an import permit and comply with the requirements mentionned in the adapted health certificate.

They also have to stay 10 days in the public quarantine station. The procedure is available on the following link.

For any other information, please contact the quarantine and animal health section of the veterinary services of New Caledonia (SIVAP): davar.sivap-qsa@gouv.nc

In case of non-compliance with these measures, the concerned persons must quickly leave the territory of New Caledonia. Otherwise, they are exposed to legal and financial proceedings and to the euthanasia of their animal.
